Someone I’ve needed for so long.
I’m unafraid! I can go where life leads me.
Somehow, I know I’m gonna be strong.
For once I can touch what my heart used to dream of long before I knew.
Someone warm like you.
Could make my dreams, make them all come true.
For once in my life, I won’t let sorrow hurt me.
Not like it hurt me once before.
For once, I got someone I know won’t desert me.
I’m not alone anymore.
For once I can say, “This is mine. You can’t take it.”
As long as there’s love, I know that I’m gonna make it.

It’s always nice to have that special someone who gives us a sense of security that everything is alright even when a storm comes knocking at your doorsteps. It’s bonds like these that make us feel valued. A lovely post indeed! It’s been 6 years since you wrote it. I’m looking forward to an encore version, something like a continuation of the same or perhaps what happened during these (if you feel like sharing it that is)!
